To EWT/HS. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} X4338 EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 2/T27.2.25. X.4338. 20 HP ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT. With reference to your EWT/HS {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 12/T15.12.24 in answer to our EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 2/T12.12.24, and with particular reference to items 2 and 3, e.g. battery and dynamo, would you kindly let us know if these two items are still on the chassis and if possible the approximate number of miles they have run since you had the car. As regards the dynamo I am desirous of sending my assistant to inspect the condition of this machine, and in the case of the battery, I think it would be a good thing at this juncture for you to let us have back this experimental battery and replace it with a standard P & R or Exide. As this battery is now nearly two years old, this Dept. will not be cakked upon to replace it with a new battery. In the case of the dynamo, there is no need for any change. We only want to perform one inspection of this machine, after which we shall not again require the machine or further trouble you in the matter, so that if you agree to our proposal, this will enable the whole matter of this chassis to be wound up as far as we are concerned.
