X 4288 RE BXE.5. BATTERIES FITTED WITH BRASS TERMINAL WASHERS.

Referring to your Wd {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} /AW6/W. 27. 6. 21. we note that the Exide people will send a man down to change over the washers on the Batteries we have at the Works.

Regarding the batteries that have already been despatched and are fitted with Brass Washers, we would like the Exide people to send us a number of washers in order thatbwe may send same to our Repair Depots who will replace the brass washers as cars come in.

The number of washers we shall require to send to our Depots is 1002, i.e. for 167 Batteries.
