X.4288 BXE-5 BATTERIES REF: BY {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} /MTN6/H17.6.21. FITTED WITH BRASS TERMINAL WASHERS.

The number of Batteries in the Stores, Test Department and fitted to chassis at these Works is 143. we shall therefore require 858 Antimonial Lead Washers to effect a changeover.

In all, 310 sets of this type of Battery have been delivered, therefore, will you say what you propose to do with the Batteries which have already left these Works.

The Chloride people will carry out the changeover at these Works immediately but we should advise them at once whether a complete changeover is being effected.

Wd. {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead}
