M.51.MG W. A.{Mr Adams} Rowbotham, Esq., Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. 31st January, 1938. Dear Mr. Rowbotham, Although the enclosed comes rather late as a Christmas gift, it will, I hope, be a New Year's offering which you will find of some value. The volume contains all the road test reports we have issued since adopting our new style visual data panel, divided into three categories: up to 10 h.p., up to 15 h.p. and over that rating. Starting from the end of February we shall send you each month reprints of the tests which have appeared in THE MOTOR in this period. I think you will find it quite easy to fit these into the binder and trust that you will then have a handy work of reference if you wish for information upon performance of current types. Despite the legend on the bottom of the binder saying that the annual charge for this service is 30/-, THE MOTOR has pleasure in giving you personally this book and subsequent reprints for nothing. If, however, any of your colleagues in other departments in your organization would find this service useful, we should be pleased to have the stated fee in return. Wishing you all success and prosperity for 1938, Sincerely yours, Laurence Pomeroy, TECHNICAL EDITOR. | ||
