BENTLEY B. 35. AE. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} R.{Sir Henry Royce} HALL.

We have been asked whether we can lend Mr. Hall a temporary body to mount on his chassis which is now at Lillie Hall.

Mr. Hall ordered a special body direct from Offords and apparently there has been considerable delay in starting it, with the result that it cannot be ready for mounting for some weeks, whereas he wants to take the car early next month to Italy with Lord Howe's "Magnette" Team which is to race there.

We do not for one moment suggest lending Mr. Hall one of your closed Test bodies as we realize that, apart from the question of their suitability, they are in continual use, but Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} tells us he believes you have standing about an Open body which you no longer use and which you might be able to spare for (say) a couple of months.

All Mr. Hall wants is merely a couple of seats and a space for bags, so we think the Open body Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} has in mind would just suit him, provided you can spare it.

Will you please let us hear from you quickly as you will appreciate there is no time to spare.
