Re: FRONT WILMOT BREEDON BUMPERS Chassis B.19.DK - Ferenchzi ----------------------------- We have just received your telegram reading as follows: CHASSIS B.19.DK BUMPER STOP THINK TROUBLE DUE TO COLLAPSE OF LEAD STOP SUGGEST REPLACING LEAD BY PHOSPHOR BRONZE For your information, owing to the strikes in Paris, this customer took delivery of his car yesterday evening instead of to-day as mentioned in our memo VA5/ET.3.6.36. We fitted a wooden circular block to each end of the bumper, in place of the original lead weights. We cannot trace that the lead weights of the original bumper have collapsed. At the special request of the owner, we fitted a small angle plate as per sketch attached, to the o/s and n/s rolled end of the front main plate and the horizontal plates. As soon as you have had an opportunity of examining the bumper of this car, we shall be pleased to have your opinion about it. Sr/VA. | ||
