We erected the spring in a dry condition at the beginning of the test and lubricated it by means of the 'one shot' system through a shackle every 2 hrs. At the end of XXX 20 hrs. we examined the spring and found that all the tips were very well lubricated. We think that this scheme is the most promising we have yet seen for spring lubrication and in conjunction with better bedding leaf tips should be a tremendous asset in overcoming our suspension troubles. We propose to fit this scheme on both the front and rear springs of the next 'SS{S. Smith}' car to run 10,000 miles. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
