X7410 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} S.S. Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/Dm{D. Munro}7/EH.6.2.29. J.2. SERIES ROAD SPRINGS. Fronts F.78792. Rears F.79439. We understand that contrary to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/LG21.1.29 and further note Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/LG29.1.29, a large proportion of the Springs required for the above Chassis will be the maximum Front and Rear poundages. We have therefore specified the following Springs for the first 50 sets:- Fronts - 15 - 950 lbs. 15 - 1000 " 30 - 1050 " 40 - 1100 " Rears - 15 - 1100 lbs. 15 - 1200 lbs. 30 - 1300 " 40 - 1400 " (Handwritten notes next to list) 1100 1150 1200 1250 50 Can G-B? If this selection of poundages for the first 100 Front and 100 Rear Springs is not accurate, will you please advise immediately. We understand that 25 cars for the Show and Demonstration purposes have to be turned out as quickly as possible, and we shall be glad to know if we are correct in assuming that the poundages of these 25 cars will be obtainable from the Springs detailed above.
