Re: Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}/WW27/MW4.7.34. covering Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}7/KW4.7.34., please note in connection with the Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} suggestion that Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} is not at all willing to fit the new type of carburetter to this customer's car and indeed remarks that this is the first occasion on which he has learnt that the new type carburetter will give an increase of power to the 20/25 H.P. engine.

He is prepared to further consider the question of smaller wheels but he wants more information as to the amount of advantage this will give the customer, bearing in mind that it is better acceleration and not high speed which is required.

When replying on this matter please say what would be the cost of supplying new wheels to the customer, on the assumption that he would have the work done when he has worn out his present set of wheels and is prepared himself to pay for a new set of smaller tyres.
