Dynamo. R.R.Scheme.868.
Complete as follows:-
Armature LOP D.54768. Bearing Brackets LOP D.54768.
Commutator LOP D.54093.
Frame & Filed Winding LOP D.54593.

The output has continued to maintain the battery charge. No trouble has been experienced.

Ignition Distributor. LOP D.54392.
Complete to above LOP - Standard Production.

Trouble was experienced with sparking to earth in distributor causing misfiring up to 30 MPH. and consequent hesitation which had previously been blamed on the carburetter. A modified distributor has been supplied and was fitted at 15.000 miles. This has overcome the trouble.

With the standard governor fitted, detonation occurred up to 20-30 MPH, according to the petrol used. A modified governor has been supplied and fitted by means of which, detonation has been reduced so that it is inaudible in the car, without sacrificing performance in anyway. It has also eliminated the necessity of using the hand ignition advance control under any circumstances.

Check that governors now going on test are to our spec.

Ignition Coils. LOP D.72503.
Complete to above LOP- Standard Production, incorporating 2 Coils.

The coils gave no trouble. Since changing over the distributor, we have been using Phantom III type coil No D.75260 and ballast to suit.

Klaxon Windscreen Wiper.

We had repeated trouble with both wiper blades blowing forward due to wind eddys and being retained in this position by the toggle action of the springs. This was overcome by placing a pin in such a position that the springs ceased to have a toggle effect. The mechanism is audible and might be complained of by an over particular owner, but the motor itself is well silenced by the rubber mounting.

Wind Tone Horns & Fittings. LOP D.54763.
Complete to above LOP.
Nut & Bolt Type Terminal incorporating:-
3 point mountings. Earth cable taken to horn securing bracket, not down headlamp pillar.

These have been constant in operation and gave no trouble.
