-2- I am writing an article in which these facts will be given full publicity but, of course, we have to exercise a certain discretion these days as there would be criticism if the public had the impression that we were indulging in luxury joy-riding in these present times. I personally believe, however, that ascertaining the true performance of cars like the Bentley V is well worth while, for it should enhance British engineering prestige and the car will, I hope prove the basis of a most successful post-war model.
