SECRET. 1262 (handwritten) Axle for 218 (handwritten) To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} C. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Grys (handwritten, struck through) Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}10/EH.14.11.39. Re. Single Propeller Shaft. We have set out the proposal to use a gearbox with no extension and a single propeller shaft on B.5. and other senior range models such as Ripplet etc. all have which have to use the B.5. Body now available. A tracing is attached to this memo to shew what happens. It will be seen that the body crossmember which cannot be moved has to be raised, and hence the floor goes up. A new body bottom-side is called for. The seats go up, and so does the steering wheel. The latter causes the wheel to foul the screen unless it is lengthened. Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
