In view of the difficulties in obtaining the small quantity of special size material you propose to manufacture the Distance Piece No.B.3829 for us, and accordingly we are sending you, herewith, our official order at the price that was accepted by an outside firm of machiners and which we had included in our costs. 11d each The position relating to the End Stud Forgings is that we have given our Suppliers, on your instructions, permission to manufacture these Forgings from ordinary Mild Steel instead of 3½% Nickel Steel as specified by you. When we have obtained the difference in cost between Mild Steel and 3½% Nickel Steel we will immediately communicate with you and pass on to you any advantage we may get from our Supplier.
