PAGE TWO. of the wiper and were interested in it, but were recently told that Lucas have abandoned any intention of proceeding with it as they find it would be costly to make and the market consequently too limited. So far as we know there is not available at the moment any Lucas wiper, new or old, suitable for fitting at the screen bottom on the next experimental 'Bensport' body. The chain model to which you refer is unsuitable as the Coachbuilders dare not weaken the scuttle rail in order to fit it. If you know of another Lucas wiper which you think might be suitable we shall be glad if you will send us details. Failing a new type of wiper the Coachbuilders will have to carry on as already instructed by EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}, i.e., with the fitting of a Klaxon wiper. We shall be glad to know whether you have given the makers an opportunity of commenting on the troubles you have had with the Klaxon wipers. If not, perhaps you will send the defective wipers to us and we will bring them before the makers and hear what they have to say. Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} | ||
