To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X7535 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}5/M30.4.27 PHANTOM - BATTERY IN FRAME. We send herewith N.Schemes 2396/2388/2389/2400 shewing the proposed divided battery in the frame for the Phantom. N.Sch.2400 shews a general arrangement of the proposal. N.Sch.2396 is the proposed divided battery. We believe that the capacity of the cells is the same as the present 40/50. Would you kindly confirm this? In the bottom R.H. corner we have indicated how the existing 40/50 battery could be built up in two parts to represent the final moulded piece and used in the experiment. We suggest that this should be done so as to save cost of the mouldings at this stage of the experiment. N.Schs.2388/89 shew the construction of the sheet metal box following the lines of that on EAC.7. Would BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} kindly send us an extra print of N.Sch. 2400 for submission to London. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
