My dear Parsons,

re WR 56.

I am sorry not to have had the pleasure of seeing you before my departure Saturday. I left shortly after 12 noon, and the water was boiling before I could arrive at Fontainebleau. I rested Sunday, and yesterday I came along to Dijon. Before arriving at Sens the water was boiling again and continued to do so throughout the journey, although I repeatedly refilled with water. I think you will agree with me that your last effort is worse than the first, when you take into consideration the drop in temperature in the weather. I really do not know how to refrain expressing my feelings of the services meted out to me by your firm. To tell me this last "radiator" (sic) was made specially to overcome all my trouble, to state it mildly is simply playing the fool with me. Now have you any doubt as to my anxiety for your firm to take this off my hands and to supply me with one which at least comes up to their advertised reputation.

You know that each time I have visited your works, you have had complete oiling up carried out, so as to give the engine every chance of success.

With kindest regards, with my utter disgust, Believe me, Yrs very sincerely,

Halford Mills.
