general rule, when examining friction plates of clutches that have been dismantled for judder, rarely find one the head clearance of which is even .03". Anything that you can do to increase this clearance depth will assist us considerably as it automatically increases the life of the clutch, which I think is going to average about 20 to 22,000 miles under present conditions. An extra .02" clearance would possibly bring us within the mileage zone at which an owner could be justly charged for relining.
