14th August, 1935.

Dear Sirs,

Modified Bentley Jack.

With reference to your letter of the 13th instant, it is regretted that we cannot see any prospect of submitting the final samples until the end of next week, owing to the delays we have experienced in obtaining the die-cast aluminium bodies and the malleable sleeves.

We advised your Purchase Department on the 8th instant to the effect that we anticipated submitting the samples towards the end of this week, but this has been found impracticable owing to the suppliers of the afore-mentioned parts being closed for the whole of the August holiday week.

We would confirm, however, that the samples will be produced from the production tools and that we should be able to commence deliveries within fourteen days of your approving the samples.

Yours faithfully,
FOR DUNLOP RUBBER CO.LTD.
