contd:- -5- Lubrication of Gear Box. Oil should be added to the gear box until it runs out of the oil level tap on the left-hand side. Lubrication of rear axle. The oil level in the rear axle can be checked by removing the plug in the bottom of the axle. This plug communicates with a pipe standing up in the axle casing. The driver should not be deceived at the small amount of oil which will run out when the plug is removed. Any oil added to the axle must be put in by removing the plug in the top of the axle casing. Lubrication of road wheels. The lock nut on the outside of the R-W wheels should be entirely removed, it will then be possible to get at the Enots Lubricators which are fitted to each hub. Water Pump gland. The lubricator on the water pump gland should be filled with grease and screwed about one turn. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
