| GRX See me Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X246 BY.14/G.11.1.34. FIRTHS SPRINGS FOR BENTLEY. --------------------------- In order to be well on the safe side Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} would prefer to maintain the solid forged eye which we have on the Woodhead when going back to Firths, although he is aware that we are using rolled eyes on the 20/25 and all thetesting on the Peregrine was done with the rolled eyes. His point of view is with the higher speeds of the Bentley he would like to do some running with rolled eyes before definitely accepting them as being equal to the solid eye. In accordance with this, therefore, we are ordering Firths springs with solid eyes for production, but we would like you to fit the rolled eye type, of which you have three sets, I believe, delivered, to cars running about and also to the chassis for the bumper.
