Now that this unit will be wanted for Bensport, we should like a nicely designed induction pipe on the lines of the one that you prepared for P.II. In order that we may get efficient air silencers on the carburetters, we have decided to use a slightly smaller size of S.U., a print of which we hand you herewith. We are proposing to use a common air intake fitted with a resonant air silencer as per attached sketch. The main points in question are, the accessibility of the sparking plugs, and simplified hot spot connections, which we think will best be obtained by using two outlets from the cylinder head and a single pipe from the hot spot to the silencers. We should be glad if you would please give us a drawing for the induction pipe so that we may get one properly cast. Also a scheme for the common air intake would help us, as if we use a mock-up of our own, we may find that our silencing work will have to be done again.
