Y507D. By.a from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/AD30.11.31. J.3. INDUCTION PIPES. We shall shortly be issuing a report on induction systems. The main point we have recently established is that we cannot run twin carburetters or two separate carburetters on 3-cylinder pipes without a large balance passage between the two halves of the induction systems. We anticipate that the passage on J.3. will be between 3/4" and 1" dia. and we do not think it is worth while issuing these pipes separately. We think that if the existing pipes as drawn were joined by a common pipe of 1" internal bore it would give us something workable until W.W. alter their scheme drawing.
