Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} I tested GMU-27 yesterday, this being the second-hand 25 H.P. car which I understand it is proposed to take over for the use of the Inspection Dept. I found the braking extremely unsatisfactory - sometimes when pulling up in a queue of cars one felt there was no servo available at all. I also felt that the power of the car was not up to standard. I sent the car in to W. the same day with a view to attention being given to both these points. Otherwise, I like the car. It was a comfort to sit in a driving-seat for a change and to be able to control the car without the levers being quite unget-at-able. Incidentally it was found that the servo-lining had disintegrated. Unfortunately the new linings which are not yet available. This last lining has lasted only 4,000 miles. It seems to me a poor look-out for a good many owners. PN.{Mr Northey} | ||
