ORIGINAL TO C.J. FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} B.L. SECRET. R4/M25.7.24. Copy to B.Y. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} A.{Mr Adams} C. 11. X8250 We are making good progress with the drawing of the radiator for the above. This new model will have a 22" matrix and the tubes will be 4 1/4" long. We are pleased to say that both the construction and appearance of the vertical louvres promise well. I was not pleased with either the appearance or the handling of those on the model EAC. car. In this new arrangement we are proposing to operate the shutters by both push and pull, so that there will be no reason for heavy spring pressure, which makes the control too heavy in one direction.
