| To Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} 300a 25 Rue Gide. Levallois. Perret. 32 Ex - Phantom III Rear Axle. Va phoned just before we left Chateauroux to say he was so busy that he could not tackle the axle job unless we could supply men to remove the axle, and assist with the job. Hamilton, Jardiner and Reid have come up for that purpose, and we have vacated our rooms at Chateauroux in order to avoid unnecessary expense. We had the axle out before lunch and it is being dismantled and cleaned up for examination. A full report and list of new parts required will be sent tomorrow morning. We are at present occupied with fitting the new spring anchorage and threaded shackle. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} / IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} R.{Sir Henry Royce} A.{Mr Adams} Walker. | ||
