ENGINE UNITS.

Further to our memo. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}6/JH.21.3.40.
We have been able to further modify the list of engines which appear on page 5 (of the previous memo. above) to bring the programme completely up to date.

These can be divided into three categories :-
(a) As instructed to the shop at the present time (but now out of date).
(b) Latest specification of units in (a).
(c) Prototype.

New chassis units required are therefore as follows, with the duty they will perform when complete.

UNIT PURPOSE

Category "A".
B.60 No.5. (3.500" bore) - Test bed.
B.60 No.6. (3.250" bore) - Ripplet chassis.
B.60 No.8 (3.250" bore)) - 1.R.1.

Category "B".
B.60 No.9 (3.250" bore) )
B.60 No.10 (75 m/m bore) ) Chassis replacement
B.60 No.13(3 75 bore ) of category 'A' units.

Category 'C'.
B.40 No.1 (75 m/m bore) Test Bed.
B.40 No.2. " " Rippletto chassis
