X649 Valve Springs. Mr Royce instructed special valve springs but we have had to return about 8 sample sets to the makers due to them not following our specification sufficiently accurately. If we cannot get these in time it will be a simple matter to despatch the car with standard springs, forwarding the special ones later on to be fitted in France. Change Speed Levers. The set instructed by D.O. did not agree with the Coachbuilders drawings and Mr Bailey's Dept. is awaiting a wire from him to confirm the fitting of standard set in levers. If he agrees same can be fitted in a day or two. Body. Some alterations have had to be made to this, the front seats being too far forward, it will however be completed in 3 or 4 days. Despatch of Car. For the cars to be at Boulogne on Feb.19th it will be impossible to fit the ground gears in the change gear box, and if it be R.R. 235 a (130 H) (V.V. 303. 5.1.14) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 0255. | ||
