C O P Y. RITTER'S PARK HOTEL UND KURABTEILUNG BAD HOMBURG, v.d.H. July 26, 1937. Messrs. Rolls-Royce, P A R I S. Dear Sirs, As promised I herewith want to let you know the car's behaviour on the way here. The weather was cool and the temperature never exceeded a shade over 80°, notwithstanding which the disagreeable phenomenon started again after about an hour 1/4's running, but to a rather LESSER degree, and curiously enough again IMMEDIATELY after stopping for lunch at Châlons, round which the roads are - as you must know- about the fastest in existence. To be frank, I think the trouble is slightly less accused on "ESSO". On the other hand the "picking up" is markedly under the standard set with "AZUR", which please communicate to Mr. Allen Jun., as he seemed especially interested to know our experience. Apart from that, the car was incomparably more comfortable than the one we had previously on similar journeys, which we were more able to judge, as we travelled through to here - 600 Kms. - It took us under 4 hours running time from Paris to Metz. We shall be here till August IIth, after which our address will be: Dr. DENGLER's Sanatorium, Baden-Baden, for about 20 days. Yours faithfully, Sgd. M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} de VILLEROY. | ||
