To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} C. to - BJ. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X5430 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}3/M315.26. 20HP. STEERING COLUMN STAY. X.5430. With reference to your telegram pointing out the difficulty with the rain gutter, we send herewith N.Scheme 2202, shewing the suggested modifications to deal with this point. We suggest that the stay should go approximately to the point where the present stay goes to, and for existing cars the same bolt holes can be used. In order to reduce the bending of the tube, and for lightness sake, we suggest that on new cars a reduced flange in a lower position should be used as indicated. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
