FILTON HOUSE, BRISTOL, ENG. TELEPHONES: OFFICES AND WORKS, 45051 | PRIVATE BRANCH EXCHANGE Your Ref. Our Ref. ENGINES F/HCM/AP/3. 10th January, 1936. W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham, Esq. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd. DERBY. My dear Robotham, Further to our correspondence about my car, may I send it up on Monday, the 20th instant. ? With reference to your offer to fit the high compression head, I should like to accept this if I could only ensure being able to get supplies of fuel for it everywhere. I have written to Mr. Fairey and he writes back confirming that there is a distinct improvement, but saying that he cannot use Ethyl with it and has to use either Special Aviation or Cleveland 'Discol'. Both these fuels are impossible for me to get hold of on long business trips. Is the head alright with National Benzole or English Esso ? If I have the head fitted will it be possible for me to change back to the low compression head if I went abroad ? If I may send the car up on Monday, the 20th, I will let you have a list of the things I want done on it, and a final decision in regard to the head. Yours sincerely, A.H.R. Fedden, | ||
