Dear Sirs,

Lacquered Cambric Covered H.T. Cable.

With further reference to your letter of the 11th ultimo, we regret that there should have been so much delay in replying to your communication, but the matter has been receiving close attention, as we are particularly desirous of giving you the surface finish which you desire.

We feel that the sample of our material which you kindly returned was not up to standard, which we very much regret, and this matter will be very carefully watched in future.

The competitor's samples which you send us are of course very thickly coated with Cellulose varnish, but we think, even so, that it would be more liable to crack than the thinner coating.

However, now that you have had an opportunity of discussing this matter with our Mr. Kirkby and Mr. Milner as a result of which your esteemed order has been placed, we think that your requirements are clearly understood, and we hope that the material which we shall supply against such order will be entirely satisfactory.

Yours faithfully,
For THE MACINTOSH CABLE CO. LTD.
