TELEPHONE: BIRMINGHAM EAST 1171. TELEGRAMS: FLEXCARBUR, BIRMINGHAM. THE S.U. CARBURETTER CO. LTD. PROPRIETORS: MORRIS MOTORS LTD. VISCOUNT NUFFIELD CHAIRMAN OLIVER BODEN, O.B.E. VICE-CHAIRMAN T. C. SKINNER, M.I.A.E. MANAGING DIRECTOR ADDERLEY PARK, BIRMINGHAM, 8. YOUR REF. OUR REF. BC/DCM. 26th August 1938. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. Attention Mr. Salt (Car Experimental) /1487. Dear Sirs, Regarding the 4 pairs of H4 Carburetters fitted with 3258 thermostatic float chamber; the three modifications which you mention, including the extra metal around the air bleed, are automatically included on all castings 3258, and therefore we do not specially mention the modification suffix letter, as a general rule. Anyway, you can be sure that all the 3258's you have will incorporate these particular alterations. We are enclosing herewith three copies of our Specification No. 403, as you request, and we will put in hand four pairs of these instruments immediately. Regarding the pair of HV5 oil damper pistons, we will put these through immediately but as they have to be specially made, it is doubtful whether you will have them by return. Yours faithfully, for THE S.U. CARBURETTER CO. LTD. B. Cooper [Handwritten note at top] Files [Red Stamp] Enclosure | ||
