Y4428b Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.9/MA. 16th January, 1935. Messrs.Lodge Plugs, Ltd., Rugby. For the attention of Mr.Alec M.Lodge. Dear Sir, With further reference to your letter of the 11th instant regarding the X434/1 plug which broke down on our Bentley chassis test engine, we regret to say that the remaining five plugs in the engine, 3 of which were stellited electrodes have given further trouble due to misfiring. It does not appear that this plug is quite suitable for our Bentley car. We are therefore proposing to return the six plugs to you for further examination and for your consideration regarding the correct type of plug to submit to us for further test on the Bentley chassis of aero type construction. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
