Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Grylls,

Very many thanks for your letter of the 17th instant giving particulars of the heat-treatment of your S.82. Also your very kind assistance in the matter of valve stelliting has certainly located our troubles. Our main trouble is that we do so little of the work here, as our requirements for exhaust valves represents a very small quantity, that the operator does not get really skilled at applying the stellite. I have asked your people if you could undertake to just do the stelliting of our valves for us and this will really get us out of our troubles, and also help salve the large percentage of scrap which we are getting in the stelliting process at the moment.

With kind regards,

Yours sincerely,

Peter Berthon
