1360 September 28th.1937 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}9/AP. Mr.P.Berthron, E.R.A.Ltd., Bourne, LINCS Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 23rd. and are pleased to have been of some assistance regarding your exhaust valve failures and the question of Stelliting. Although we regret to say that we cannot undertake to carry out your request of Stelliting your valves, we can put you in touch with a firm whom we know from our experience can be recommended for this work. They are :- Motor Components Ltd., Birmingham, and actually do quite a lot of Stelliting for us in connection with valves for our Aero Section. In view of the fact that you only require Stelliting of valves in small quantities we consider that you would obtain more satisfactory results from a firm of the above repute who are carrying out the work of Stelliting constantly, rather than attempt to do it yourselves in these small batches. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
