COPY Air Ministry, London, W.C. 2. 27th January, 1934. Ref. 276774/33/R.D.E.3/EME. K.L.G. SCREENING COWLS - TYPE M.S.V. & M.S.R. PROVISIONAL AIRWORTHINESS APPROVAL. Gentlemen, I am directed to inform you that a satisfactory report has been received as a result of laboratory tests carried out on the above type screening cowls at the Royal Aircraft Establishment. Provisional Airworthiness Approval is therefore granted for the use of these screening cowls on sparking plugs for aero engines. In order to obtain full Airworthiness Approval, it will be necessary for the cowls to be subjected to a type test on an engine of the particular type to which it is intended to apply them, under the conditions laid down in A.P.1208.
