X.4383 EFC. C. BM C. SFT.{Mr Swift} for Mr. Brock. EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}4/H6.2.24. X 4383 re. 20-HP Dynamos. Although we feel we have as far as possible obtained the best we can on dynamos which we are now turning out on 20-HP Chassis, Sales Dept. are complaining that they have noticed "several dynamos on the noisy side, due chiefly to electrical sing." Although we have explained that this matter has been receiving our attention for some considerable time, they are continually asking whether any definite improvement has been obtained, and whether we can give them any scheme or information whereby existing dynamos can be improved. We should be glad if you could let us have any further information on this matter, so that we can at least satisfy Sales Dept. that we are doing the very best possible to be done in connection with this complaint which we know exists and which is having our urgent attention. I trust the question of obtaining satisfactory dynamos so far as manufacture, production and testing is concerned is being maintained. I should like SFT.{Mr Swift} to report to me on this point so that I can assure Sales Dept. that the best possible is being done. If Mr. Brock thinks that an improvement has been achieved with the dynamos he is now able to produce, could this improvement be applied to dynamos retrospectively? If so, we should be in a position to deal with such dynamos as are complained of. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} | ||
