For the attention of Mr. E.C. McKinnon.

Dear Sirs,

In connection with the Bentley Sports car, we anticipate that we shall probably require to use the 6-XC11-1M type of Exide battery.

We are particularly anxious to know whether this size of battery could be modified so as to incorporate the special R.R. long life features, i.e. thicker plates and wood and ebonite separators.

We should be glad to know, if -

(a) this is possible in the existing size of battery.

(b) How much the capacity, at the 10 hr. rate, will be varied. At the moment according to your catalogue, this is 64 amp. hrs.

(c) What would be the estimated difference in weight.

(d) The difference in price.

If it is impossible to modify 6-XC11-1M battery without affecting the capacity seriously, we should be glad to know if you have another type of battery of similar dimensions you could recommend, in which we could have the special R.R. features.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS ROYCE LTD.
