PHANTOM II & 20/25 STARTER MOTOR.

The arrangement of terminals on the Phantom II motor is such that these are rather inaccessible on the present standard chassis. My assistant points out that on the left-hand chassis -

"They come close underneath the rear engine foot, and must be very difficult to access. As this model is presumably intended for the American market where accessibility is looked upon as important, some modification seems to be required in the terminal disposition."

In R.{Sir Henry Royce} Bosch machines no terminals are exposed, but on the starter motor they are arranged in a particularly neat way where the wires enter an extension of the commutator end plate casting from the driving end side, leaving the cover free for removal though it encloses the terminals.
