Cause of an overheating dynamo on chassis 32-RC, attributing it to incorrect brush bedding.

Please find attached copy of my assistant's report P.C.128 in connection with the above machine. It will be seen that there is sufficient reason for the overheating of this machine without the necessity of postulating an open battery circuit.
The incorrect bedding resulting from the replacement of the negative brushes the wrong way round would increase the circuit resistance, added to which it may have, been by bedding on one edge only caused the output to even still further increase. There are therefore in all three possibilities of increased output over present normal standard, and we think this is sufficient to account for the overheating.
