To SFT{Mr Swift}/Mr. Brock.
c. BY/Cgh.{W Clough}

CHASSIS 100-EF. BOMBAY - UDAIPUR.

We are returning this dynamo to you because you have not provided the means for adjusting the control brush as instructed in BY/Cgh{W Clough}9/G24.2.27.

At present the output is dangerously high and the machine would probably run its solder in India in quite a little while. Would you please provide a control brush adjustment by which we can advance the control brush position and so reduce the present output. It would still be possible for you to fix the position of the control brush when we have arrived at the correct position.

It will be understood that it is not our intention to effect as much reduction in the output of this machine as would be required for normal production, but merely to the extent of leaving it safe from the point of view of overheating, though otherwise having as much output at all speeds as possible.

EFC.
