X.433

R.{Sir Henry Royce} 7/5/13

Mr Johnson wishes us to bring before you the following extract from Mr Hanbury's memo AH6/CD2513 re G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} O.{Mr Oldham} Herbert Esq., Car No.2087E.

"Mr Herbert said he had a slight rattling noise "from outside the front spring shackles and "cured this successfully by inserting a washer "of about 12/1000ths on the shackle bolt.
"He has now a similar noise occasionally (which "he could not produce for me) from the near side "front spring, and he wishes to know whether "there is any harm in inserting a washer to "correct this also."

We shall be glad therefore if you will kindly let us know your wishes re the above.
