Hurstle HS. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} /NM. At the conference held on February 21st, with Sg. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} and CWB. from London, I think it was arranged that HS. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} would draw up some instructions based on CWB's proposals, which would be far less bulky and less likely to worry the customer. Two of the points in question to be covered were:- Instructions to customers that Hartford shock dampers should be adjusted according to load, road, and speed conditions. Secondly, Instructions to customers re making the clutch work more smoothly by the injection of a mixture of paraffin and oil. I do not know whether anything has been done on the matter, and if so, if finally Mr. Walker's Dept. will get same printed. My impression was that not necessarily a printed pamphlet would be supplied, but some sheets typed, but of the same size as the Instruction Book, into which they could be pasted. BY. {R.W.
