Recently we conducted a test on frame jellying in which the radiator was mounted directly on the engine. It was found that this increased the effectiveness of the torque reaction dampers in steadying the frame and also reducing steering shocks. We are repeating the experiment to confirm the results.

SUMMARY.

We appreciate that the P.II steering is perhaps the worst feature of the existing car and had to face severe criticism of the L.H. chassis in the States..

We feel that the secret of the American's good steering may lie in their method of irreversibility.
