To PN.{Mr Northey} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} X3873 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/LG16. 8. 28. STABILISATEUR SOCETIN. With reference to PNL/WT16. 8. 28. You will have appreciated from our last memo. on the subject that there is nothing new or novel about the principle of this device. The only novelty is in its method of operation which we feel quite sure you will agree is most unlikely to appeal to R.{Sir Henry Royce} Since, even if our tests shew the device to be a success, we do not think there is any liklihood of the mechanical method of operation being perpetuated; we cannot see what benefit would acrue to the inventor from our tests. Incidentally, we rather think that we shall have considerable difficulty in fitting the parts to a 40/50 chassis and that therefore they may lie about the Shop for quite a time before we get any results. We should really prefer the job to be taken up by some other firm. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rp. | ||
