Br2/S. 6.5.36 re - Wireless Sets -------------------- With reference to your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst16/JH4.5.36, we have on three occasions received 25 H.P. cars, accompanied by a representative of the Delco-Remy Company, with a request that we should do something to help to cure the "wheel static". In each case we have machined the edge of the brake drums, in order to increase the clearance between these edges and the dust covers, the amount taken off the edges being approximately .030". This is the only work that we have carried out in this matter, and in each case it successfully cured the trouble. We are wondering if Delco-Remy have mentioned to you their proposed scheme of a contact brush being attached to the brake drum. Each time they have visited here, they have tried to discuss this matter, but we, of course, have always referred them to you. Br [Signature] | ||
