LONDON, S.W.1.

Dear Banks,

Thank you for your letter of July 28th, together with your report, which I opened in Hives' absence. He will be away until the 10th August.

I do not know whether there is anything on car work which you have not put in your report, but if so and you happen to be Derby way, I should very much like to hear about it. I note incidentally that your report is entirely confined to aircraft engines. Did you do one on automobile work too ?

Yours sincerely,
