BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} C. to Eg. WCR. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} B. 4. - SIDE SPARE WHEEL CARRIER. We send herewith N. schs. 3720/21. shewing the side wheel carrier for B. 4. At the moment we have no intention of using side wheel carriers on this car, but should it be decided to sell chassis to coachbuilders we shall no doubt find that they will require this fitting very frequently. Many of the pieces - such as the tubes and end fittings - are either the same as Peregrine or similar. The same remark applies to the central bolt. The wing iron underneath the wheel is shewn as a simplified pressing, and we suggest that the same pressing, though bent to suit, should be used on the Peregrine in place of the one you now have as we believe this design to be cheaper. Will you please return the originals to us with the usual prints. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
