Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} BJ3/H9.11.25. NEW PHANTOMCodename for PHANTOM I - OVER-OILING. In addition to the over-oiling tests reported upon, we have carried out numerous bench tests with the Lodge detachable plugs. We find that this plug is superior to the standard non-detachable Lodge plug with regard to pre-ignition and equally as good for endurance. These plugs have run 6,000 miles on 20 HP. cars where they have shewn themselves to be perfectly satisfactory, and in addition a set is at present fitted to Mr. Royce's 20 HP. car 8-G-111. The 10,000 miles test car in France is running on a set of these plugs. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham. | ||
