...............................

With further reference to our memo EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/AGR13/MH.{M. Huckerby}13.7.33, in view of written instructions which you have received from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lov.{Mr Lovesey} and which you have handed to us, and subsequent telephone conversation with Rg{Mr Rowledge}/Tsn, will you please order fuel as under:-

4,500 galls. Fuel A.{Mr Adams}
4,500 " " B.

Specification - Fuel A: Non-leaded, minimum octane value 77
Fuel B: With T.E.L. " " " 87

Octane values as above specified to be obtained on both fuels when tested on the C.F.R.engine at 900 R.P.M., 212°F jacket temperature and 260°F mixture temperature.

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lov{Mr Lovesey}'s memorandum states for Fuel B "with T.E.L.not exceeding 4 c.cs/gall"; Rg{Mr Rowledge}/Tsn states that although we are to specify Fuel B. with T.E.L. we are not to specify the quantity.

Will you please arrange to order in accordance with Rg{Mr Rowledge}/Tsn's instructions?

We understand that you are in doubt as to when this fuel will be required and for what type of engine each type of fuel is required. Will Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lov.{Mr Lovesey} please state for which type tests the various types of fuels are required, and will RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} please let us know the dates on which these engines are on test?

EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/Thn
